Progress Photo Update – November 2011

Hey cutie pies!  Hope all my lovely readers are doing well and smashing their body goals in time for summer! It’s only a few short days away!   My absolutely favourite time of year and I think this one will be the best one for me to date.  🙂

So, it’s been a while since I have done one of these.  I have been really working hard over the last 2 months – I have well and truly settled into the swing of things with my diet, I’m consistently losing fat and centimetres, my strength is improving and I’m gaining some great muscle so all round, I have to say I’m pretty pleased!

Before I put the new pics up, let’s take a little wander down memory lane, shall we?  Let’s go back to the 30th of April 2011, 7 months ago:

Used different bikini for the back shot - the other ones looked like I was wearing a nappy!

I am feeling pretty confident that I am going to be in reasonable shape for comp time.  Problem areas are still the legs, but once I start a proper comp prep diet and training regime, they will lean out.  I wish I could look into the future to see that actually happen but I just have to have faith in the process!  It has worked for others, it WILL work for me!

    You’re looking fantastic 😀 I find when I’m at my normal/happy weight & size still my thighs remain larger. How much running do you do weekly? Supposedy running is the key to fab legs?

      Thanks Jade! The key to good legs is heavy weights, in my opinion! I’ve just started running again, twice a week, only 5kms. 🙂

    Amanda you look great, u really an inspiration, and ur pics show that if you put ur mind and hard work to it, you really can change the shape and look of your body!! Keep going cant wait to see the end result!!

    Holy SHIT (excuse my French) this is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

    It’s amazing… You’d think by doing heaving weights you’d look chunky and bulked up but you look amazing!!

    Great work…

    What do you weigh now? Or should I say how many fat kgs have you lost as that is more important?

    Were you still training twice day for this cutting phase?

    Would you be able to give a brief outline of your day eating and exercising?

      Hey Karam! I am 61-62kg currently. Started this phase at 66kg. Have a look at the post I did when I started this phase – it gives a brief run down of my diet and training schedule.

    Fabulous progress! The definition in your arms is enviable and your torso is looking amazing. It’s testament to weightlifting. Something I’m not really doing at this stage.

    Hi Amanda,
    You’re looking great! I’m always eager for some tips… so what’s your best advice for building abs and toning arms? Are there any body-weight bearing exercises you can do at home (if you’re not a member of a gym) or is free weights at the gym the best bet? My other query was… what’s the best way to reduce your body fat? Supplements? Food? Exercise? All of the above? Lol. I’ve cut calories and lost a tonne of weight (ok, well maybe not a tonne but am down to 55kg) but am still sitting around 24.7% body fat when I really WANT to be around 18-20%. Thanks so much. You are such a wealth of fitness knowledge!!
