Officially in Machine Mode!

8 Oct

It’s official.  I am a machine.  I am smashing it!  If this were a competition I would be the clear winner!  I am so stoked with my results this month (after dismal results last month and a total funk last week) that I am jumping out of my skin!

My new meal plan is working wonders as well.  Lean protein is my friend, I have discovered, and bread and pasta is not.  Even grainy bread, which I am very unhappy about because I do enjoy a good sandwich on soy and linseed!  But that’s okay.  I am willing to put bread and pasta in the ‘occasional foods’ bucket. *

One of the most important things I have learnt during this experience is that you have to constantly change your diet and exercise to get the best results.  Listen to your body and get to know what it responds to and what it doesn’t respond to.  Really take notice of how your body reacts to certain foods and don’t be afraid to try new things!

Lastly, I just wanted to give a shout out to my trainer, Nat.  I could not have done this without you.  You inspire me everyday to be a better person and to always put my health and myself first.  Thank you.  x

Anyway!  That’s enough out of me!  Here’s the numbers (that’s right!  Hello and goodbye 75kg!):

* Remember – throughout this blog I talk about what works well for me when it comes to eating.  It does not mean you too should stop eating bread too because it is very good for you!  K?  Good.

You ARE a machine! Amazing results Amanda. You should be really, really proud of yourself. xo

Thanks babe! I am super proud. 😀 I never in my wildest dreams thought I could get to this weight and now I only have 6.8kg to go until goal weight! I can’t believe it! 😀

Congrats Amanda, those are fantastic results! You should be really proud of yourself. Heck, I’m proud and I don’t even know ya LOL

Haha but it’s LIKE you know me by now, right? 😉

OMG Amanda, that’s such amazing results. Can I just say how much I love your blog and how inspiring you are? 🙂 Congratulations! You so deserve it for all your hard work!

I really should start doing measurements too bah and looks like we’re both aiming for the same target weight too haha and we’re both at the same weight right now! We can push each other on (although you’re better at motivating me than the other way around!)

Hey Shebrew! Thanks for the comment! Definitely start doing your measurements. They will really give you a good indication of your loss. For instance I only lost just over a kilo this month (actually that kilo only came off in the last week or so – I have been up and down in weight all month!) but I had really great measurement results. This is probably because muscle weighs the same as fat (like the old adage, what weighs more a kilo of feathers or a kilo of bricks?) but it takes up less space.

I would be happy to help motivate you my dear! 😀

      (I pushed send too quickly)

Isn’t it funny how different weight is on different people, I am about the weight you are now but my current measurements are like yours were at the start of your journey (plus lots more on the waist haha)

      • Amanda October 8, 2010 at 2:39 pm #

Yes it really is amazing how different everybody is! It depends on height too. I should mention that I’m 5 foot 7! Which isn’t particularly tall… But I seem to have a lot more muscle now so it makes a big difference in size.

Nice work Amanda! You totally got your kick-ass on.
I’m with you on the bread/pasta front – once I pretty much cut out wheatey/starchy things like my beloved mutigrain bread (*tear*) the weight came off a lot faster. The last week I’ve been on holidays & munching on bread for the first time in ages & i’ve felt really sluggish & ill, so this pretty much confirms for me that gluten is not my friend. Dang! Sure do love a crusty sourdough roll though…

Yes it’s sad isn’t it? Makes me very bloated and uncomfortable. But I’ll live! 🙂
